Obituary

Passed away at Hamilton General Hospital on Tuesday April, 30, 2019. Albert will be sadly missed by his life partner and best friend Jo-Marie Martin (nee Murray), dad to Scott (Shelley), grandfather to Darcy and Dax. Brother to Fred (Carol), Diane (Kevin) and predeceased by Jack. Brother-in-law, uncle, great- uncle and friend to many. Albert’s passions were his family, his dog Puff, the Toronto Maple Leafs, the railway and the open highway. Take a drive down the highway or a ride on the train, and remember him for the passionate, loving man he was. Albert’s wishes were to be cremated, with no Visitation or Funeral, but rather a Celebration of Life, BBQ style, at home later in the warmer weather. We would like to thank the Hamilton General Hospital Cardiac Unit for their care and guidance through this difficult time. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and to the Halton 4-H Junior Extension.

My sincere condolences in the passing of Albert. He and I were good friends in the mid 80's when he drove for Burnbrae Farms and I worked at the plant. We both lived in Acton and spent many days on the local golf course very early in the morning. Bert and I also spent a week golfing in Myrtle Beach before I was transferred to the Burnbrae Quebec plant. He was a great friend who would do anything to help. I know I appreciated the welcome he gave a fellow Eastern Ontario boy when I got transferred to the big city. I am very saddened to hear of his passing

My condolences to Albert's family. I went to Public School with Albert in Frankville. It sounds like he never changed a bit. Always a caring, happy soul.

Please accept our sincerest sympathies for Albert's passing.

Both of us worked with Albert at CN BIT, and it was always great to see him around Acton. A wonderful, warm and caring man. And, without a doubt, Walter's favourite BB driver!

Sincerely, Walter and Megan Golden
