Leslie and I are saddened to hear the news of Barb’s passing. We had nine good years of visits at Allendale while we were pastors at The Salvation Army Khi Community Church in Milton. Every time I did chapel over those years, Barb was always in the front row with her full Salvation Army uniform on. She was a proud Salvationist and a wonderful Christian woman who sang all the songs and knew all the words. In fact, up until the last couple of years, she would come up to the podium and lead songs from the hymn book. Thank you to The Reverend Deacon Nina Page And her team for excellent pastoral care as well as the great staff at Allendale. You’ve earned your Promotion to Glory Barb - well done!

Dear Cyndi, I echo Grant's wonderful words about your dear sister. Barbara was a delight to be around and you were a great support for her even with the distance from Toronto. Hope you are doing okay, Cyndi and know Barbara was special to many of us, she will be missed. With great affection to your sister. Laurie MacNab xoxo

I was shocked & saddened to find out Barbara passed away yesterday morning at Milton District Hospital. On behalf of Karen & myself, I would like to extend our sincere condolences to Barbara's sister Cyndi ( & her family).
Barbara will be greatly missed by everyone at Allendale (& never forgotten).. This was her home for the past 14 years & even though she suffered from a severe stroke a couple of years ago, she never once complained or lost her faith. She always proudly wore her Salvation Army uniform, sang hymns for us at our Sunday morning church services & tried to help & comfort others.
Let us rejoice that Barbara is now in her new beautiful Heavenly home for evermore .. free of all earthly pain & sorrow. I'm sure God will be the first person to welcome her with the words "Well done Thy good & faithful servant."
