My most sincere condolences to the family of Burnett.
Burnett was my grandparents neighbor and friend. One Christmas when I was a little girl, Burnett came over dressed as Santa and brought me a coloring book. I did not know at the time that it was Burnett - and remember running into our living room and hiding under the table. We would walk over and pay visits (I always liked his kitchen table!); Receiving deer meat (I will never forget the pepperette sticks!), and would listen to his music play through the fields. It was such a bitter sweet coincidence that Burnett was admitted to the hospital in February 2018, only a few doors down from my grandfather. We had a few visits there. Even then, he still had his smile and quick wit, and had many memorable stories to tell.
Burnett will forever be rememered, and in my heart.

Today we say goodbye to this gentle and very caring man. Burnett was a huge part of Nathan’s life as he was growing up, and he got to be a huge of our son’s Nicholas’ life. Nicholas is really going to miss his Burnett visits. So wherever you are Burnett I hope it’s full of tractors... we will miss you terribly.

I knew Burnet very well, as many years ago (1950s),along with a host of others who all worked on the steady night shift at P.L.Robertson's, we all became friends, and my friendship with Burnett lasted all these past years. I used to see him weekly when we both attended Super Choice grocery store to shop on Wednesdays for the 5 percent discount, which was no big thing, but it meant we all could see many of our friends each week, and Burnett was one of those friends who sadly seem to be all gone, which brings a tear to my eye ! Burnett was always easy going and to me , very likeable. He was always trying to convince me to attend the farm equipment on show at the location at Milton Heights, as Burnett was a restorer of some old tractors, as it was his hobby. Every Wednesday when we met while shopping, we both had plenty to talk about of our mutual friends and our times working the night shift at P.L.R., which was not the best place in the world to spend one's nights from 6.00 P.M. to O4.00 a.m.(10 hours) & see all our other friends and acquaintances pass by going where they wished without us ! I am deeply touched by Burnett's passing, and had missed our weekly meeting for some time, as the grocery had by then closed. As I look at his picture on the funeral home webb site, it gives me a great sense of friendship, as to me he never changed over the years in both his appearance and manner, and of course Burnett never changed as I hope I never appeared to change to him Please accept my most sincere condolences to a wonderful friend from long ago, which prove good friendships are always long lasting as ours was.
With a great sense of loss, Alan (Curly) Waters
