Dear father of Stephen McGreer of Calgary and D’Arcy (Claudette) McGreer of Mississauga. Loving grandfather of Christopher McGreer and Benjamin McGreer. Brother of Catherine Armstrong (Jack) of Pickering, the late Esther Snider, the late Lois Nickel, the late Robert McGreer, and the late Billy McGreer. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews, and brother-in-law, Glenn (Myrna) Amey of Calgary and sister-in-law, Shirley (Art) Russell of Kingston. He grew up and raised his family in Napanee. He will be remembered as a quiet and private man, as an extremely hard worker, for his love of travel to many places around the world, and for his remarkable dedication to his wife, sons and grandsons.
Visitation will be held at McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main St. E., Milton (905-878-4452) on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a service at 12:00 p.m. A private family interment will be taking place in Napanee at a later date. Howard’s family cannot thank enough the Allendale LTC staff for the excellent care and compassion shown to Howard, and which Doris continues to receive.
