Obituary

After a brief battle with cancer, Christopher Thomas Baynton (everyone knew him as Tom) passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. He leaves behind and will be deeply missed by; his sons Logan Thomas Baynton and Dustin Cooper Boden, his wife Liza Boden, his parents Alfred Thomas Baynton and Donna Jane Baynton (nee Small) and his best friend/wingman Bryan Haringa. Tom is predeceased by his sister, Sandra Lynn Baynton (Sandi) and grandparents, John & Sarah Small (nee Warington) and Charles & Lena Baynton (nee Turner). Tom was an avid sports fan. In his younger years he loved to play baseball and hockey. Later on he could be found, usually with best friend Bryan, cheering on the Miami Dolphins, Blue Jays or the Maple Leafs. He was a hard working, honest and caring man, all values he tried to instill in his boys, Logan & Dustin. I’m sure they will keep that part of their Dad with them forever. He worked for over 30 years as a Loader/Yard Supervisor for Polymer Distribution Inc. He loved his job and I’m sure he will be missed by the people he worked with. Tom was a loving son who would proudly tell stories of his childhood, whether it be playing on the Baynton ball teams or parties with family and friends at the farm. He was a devoted and loving father and husband, always making sure his family was taken care of. He was a man that kept his emotions inside but you always knew you were loved. His passing will leave an emptiness in our hearts but it will also leave us with many memories of the wonderful man he was.

A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at McKersie Kocher Funeral Home 114 Main St. Milton 905-878-4452 on Friday, June 28th 2019 starting at 2pm. Service to follow at 4pm. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Carlo Fidani Peel Regional Cancer Centre.
