Was deeply sorry to hear of the passing of our dear friend Burke. He and his beloved Margaret were very active Shaw Festival Guild Gardeners for years before their move to Milton. It was always a pleasure to have Burke come back to Niagara-on-the-Lake annually to join our end-of-season lunch with our gardening group. Our sincere condolences to Burke’s family. We are all richer for knowing this wonderful man, may he rest in eternal peace. Sincerely..... Paddy and Brian Parr

To the family and friends of Burke, I cannot express my gratitude and honour in which I got to meet this amazing man. He was such a caring, genuine, intelligent and giving person. I have so many memories with him and I am so lucky to have gotten to know him in a short 3 years. He was our gardener at Birkdale, would always be helping others whether it was printing off information or things they may enjoy. He was always there to share a laugh or whistle in the hallways. He was always there. Words cannot describe how special he was and I am so thankful for the time I knew him. I send my love and prayers to you all.❤️

Burke was a bright light in our small church congregation. He had us laughing even more than usual at our choir practices with his unfiltered comments. His wit and charm was vast and will be sorely missed by family and friends. Burke set a good example to me of a life lived fully, totally engaged with those around him, no matter how he was feeling. I will always think of Burke when I buy strawberries in the spring now, as he shared his agricultural knowledge with me and let me know where the best berries come from. I look forward to some day sharing a laugh with you again Burke, in the great beyond.

Burke and Margaret were the best neighbors we ever had. We had many great times in the pool and having our progressive dinners. Burke first came over to help Bob with the building of our deck. We spent many hours laughing and talking on that deck!! Burke was always there to give a helping hand when you needed it. When we would have our parties we always ended up moving the coffee table and dancing. Burke and Margaret would start it and they would be the last to leave. We loved them both very much. Our condolences to the family, Burke's good humor will be missed
