In loving memory of David Blain Woodyatt, devoted husband, best friend and lover who died suddenly on Remembrance Day. David leaves behind his adoring wife, Jennifer Woodyatt (nee Kroeze) who had both the honour and privilege to share over 40 years with her beloved partner. David leaves behind a legacy of integrity, compassion, honesty and a deep sense of loyalty for all who knew and loved him most. Gifted with a very fine mind, he excelled in so many intellectual pursuits, others could only imagine. Survived by his mother Shirley Whyte (nee Woodyatt), older brother Stephen Thomas Woodyatt and wife Deborah Kay, mirror image twin Peter Lindsay Woodyatt and his longtime partner, Shirley Courvoisier, youngest brother Christopher Robert Woodyatt and partner Joanne MacDonald, cherished younger sister Margo Marlene Woodyatt and husband Paul Terrien, and his extended family of nieces and nephews and their children who gave him such pride and joy and a strong sense of family. We wish to thank Dr. Eric Monteiro and his team of surgeons including his right hand, Anna Bested of Mount Sinai Hospital, Dr. Douglas Chepeha and his team at Toronto Western Hospital, Dr. Jolie Ringash, Dr. Lillian Sui and Dr. Wilfred Levin at Princess Margaret Hospital and all the incredible staff at Mount Sinai and UHN who’s dedication and caring goes far above and beyond what anyone could ever expect. You are all, truly, angels on earth. A special thank you to the 911 Dispatcher, Halton EMTs, Halton Fire Department, Halton Police and Dr. Sumeet Khanna and his team at Georgetown Hospital Emergency who all valiantly tried to save David’s life, and ultimately helped to make the decision to give him back to God with compassion and humanity. Donations are welcomed in lieu of flowers to The Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation, Department of Otolaryngology or The Toronto & Western Hospital Foundation, Department of Otolaryngology. My Love, Imp, Friend and Equal. You fought the good fight. Godspeed Sassenach, we’ll see you on the other side. Say hello to Daddy and Woody.

Visitations to be held at McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home 905-878-4452 on Friday, November 15th 2019 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm and Saturday, November 16 2019 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm with the memorial service to follow at 1:00 pm.

Oh, Jennifer, I was so very sorry to hear of David's passing. Please accept my deepest condolences - extended, of course, to the entire Woodyatt clan.
It has been many years but I remember David as an engaging, fun-loving guy, with so many interests and a great smile! He enjoyed and valued his friends and family, and he absolutely adored Jennifer.
My thoughts and sympathies are with you all.
