So, so sad to see my dearest friend Ernie has passed on. A gentleman, of fantastic humour and my golf coach. I will always remember our daily nine holes at the "Rock Pile" and 10th hole at the Ivy, with Ernie providing his classic humour, like the time we laughed over the Arch Bishop of Canterbury photographed with a friend and they looked just like Ernie and I. Those memories will last in my mind forever. My Daughters Kirstie and Kate who worked in the Ivy remember Ernie as the lovely wee man in the dungarees, their best customer ever, they said and He always had laughable condolences for my wife Helen who, like he said "had to put up with me" !!

Rest In Peace my old friend. See you on the back nine!!! I here they have a great course up there.

Our condolences to Ernie's Family. Ben, Helen, Kirstie and Kate Hall
