Obituary

With a heavy heart we announce the passing of Melanie Leigh (Dulmage) Kirkland on January 19th, 2019 at Milton District Hospital. After a tough but short battle with cancer, Melanie passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Born in Toronto 1959, Melanie was the daughter of the late William G. Dulmage and Gwenyth R. Dulmage. Loving mother to three daughters and son in laws; Melissa (D’Arcy), Erica (Brian), and Carrie (Bart). As well as a proud Grandmother to; Kayden, Logan, Ethan, Emmie, and Lochlan. She also leaves behind many siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and friends. Many share stories of Melanie's joy and love for her family. Fondly remembered for always marching to the beat of her own drum; but most of all, she will be remembered for her kind heart and strong spirit. Melanie touched the hearts of many and left a permanent imprint on everyone she met. Melanie will be truly missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial on Saturday, February 23rd 2019 from 1-4pm, at McKersie Kocher Funeral Home 114 Main St. E. Milton.

Great times, great joy, a planter herself of great spirits, and a passenger sharing the zeitgeist of "now." She will be missed but never forgotten.
