Bob Luciani

My name is Bob Luciani. Mike and I were grade school friends. I was hired by Canada Post in 1975 where I worked with Mike at the Thorold office. As soon as I was hired I moved out of my parents house and roomed with Mike in a high rise up the street from where we worked.
A couple of years later, Mike left Canada Post and went on to work with race horses. I stayed at Canada Post.
When Mike came to Thorold to visit his friends he always looked me up.
Although we went on with separate lives, he always gave me a shout whenever he was around.
Through Facebook I learned Mike wasn't well. Jack Anderson let me know of Mike's passing. I'm sorry I didn't make the funeral but he is in my thoughts.
I'm so sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mike years ago when I took a job in the North with the school Board. He welcomed me with a hilarious joke and that was it, I knew he was going to be great to work with. He constantly had groups of us in stitches and one thing I will never forget about Mike is his nickname for me. Ridgling, which I thought was too funny. May you find eternal peace Mike and continue making people smile on the other side! Condolences to his family and friends!

My deepest sympathy Annette, to you and your family. I knew something must be wrong when I came by the shop today. When I got home I took a chance and looked on the funeral home website. I was very sad to see Mike’s name and picture. I’m so sorry for your loss. Maartje Ceelen and family.
