Rhonda was such a huge part of my childhood and beyond. So many memories of Milton Heights adventures from when we were little kids doing exciting things like picking worms to being teenagers trying to get Rocky to give us a ride to school in his Heavy Chevy, to bigger kids out of school and going to dances, to “grownups” getting married and being in each other’s weddings and going on fun trips as couples. My first airplane ride was with Rhonda, my first trip to the Caribbean. Rhonda was the truest friend you could ever have, always there if you needed something, would work so hard right alongside you if you had a job to do, she would go to any lengths to help. If you were visiting her home she would make all your favourite things, and spare nothing to make sure you were comfortable. She was naturally generous, and always considerate of other people’s feelings.
Though our paths haven’t crossed much in recent years, I have so many happy memories of Rhonda, and it’s hard to believe she’s gone so soon. My heart goes out to Helen and Ruby and the whole Gaetan family, Rhonda was much loved and will be sadly missed.

I grew up in the same neighbourhood as Rhonda and got to know Rhonda better in high school. Rhonda was a very warm and friendly person. Her smile and laughter was infectious. We double dated often, as her boyfriend and mine were best friends. We had many good times at movies, restaurants, dances, weddings, the four of us. Rhonda was a good friend and I missed her when she moved to Florida. She was much too young to go now, but I know heaven has greater plans for her. Will never forget her......RIP Rhonda.

Rhonda was my friend next door as we were growing up. What I mostly remember about Rhonda is that she was, even as a child, so very generous. and giving. Whatever she had, she was willing to share openly. If you had chores to do, she was happy to help so you could get on to some serious playing games, swimming at Kelso, hiking up the escarpment, whatever it may be. She was a lovely girl and was taken way too soon. May she rest in peace. Deanna Dennison

Only knew Rhonda for a short time - met in BriarCreek. Rhonda was sweet, fun, a great dancer and full of life. She will be missed.
