Bob Vancso passed away at Ian Anderson House after a battle with cancer on July 8, 2019. Bob had a long career in the tobacco industry, working in increasingly senior positions throughout his career, travelling all over the world. That culminated in running his own business for several years before he retired. Bob was pre-deceased by his parents Mary and Norbert Vancso and sister’s Mary Biro and Kathy Jakobi. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice. He will be sadly missed by his son Steven Vancso, step-daughter Kiera Howe and step-son Brendan Howe (Jessica) and grandchildren Lucas and Lily. As per his wishes cremation has taken place.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Bob Vancso on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main St. East Milton at 3pm. Visitation from 1 – 3 prior to the service. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donation in memory of Bob to the Heart and Stroke, Milton District Hospital Foundation or the Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

I am so sad to hear of Bob's passing. I had hoped that he would have more time to spend with his family in the coming years. I am thankful that he became a part of my daughter's Jessica's life. I know our mutual grand children enjoyed being with him very much - just as I enjoyed his hospitality ( as well as Janice's) at his home in Milton. He took great pride and joy in providing a warm, welcoming home for his family and friends. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Janice, Brendan, Jessica and family. Warm regards. Karen and I were incredibly saddened to hear of Bob's passing, Although we met as neighbours we soon became good friends and now mourning the loss of a valued friend, We are very sorry that we will not be able to attend Bob's funeral as it comes on the same day as a special memorial for my son. Our thoughts, however, will be with you, Janice, and his family on Saturday,

Sincerely, Ron & Karen Hudson
