Obituary

The Family wishes to announce the passing of their beloved Rose McDougall on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Milton District Hospital at the age of 87. Rose has been re-united with her husband Kenneth who passed away in June of last year. Predeceased by her father Silefon Davitsky, mother Florence, step-father Karl Kobic, brothers Alex and Steve, sister Lena Davis, brother-in-law Larry Moore and Fred Davis and her sister-in-law Georgette Davitsky. Rose is survived by her two sons; Kevin (Julie) of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Terrence of Keswick, Ontario, daughter Colleen (Robert) Preisner of Milton, Ontario and sister-in-law Doreen Davitsky. Forever remembered by her grandchildren; Kathryn and Benjamin Preisner, Emily and Cody McDougall, and great children Hazel, Nolan and Evan McDougall and many nieces and nephews.
Rose was a dedicated school secretary for 25 years at St. Patrick’s School in Kapuskasing. She loved to hear from past students who would tell her that they remembered her from their school days at St. Pats. She was a life-long member of the Catholic Women’s league and Rose and Ken were dedicated servants at St. Patrick’s Church from the day the church was opened. Rose loved to cook, knit, crochet and was a talented seamstress. She enjoyed nothing more in the summer than to tend to her roses and beautiful begonias that decorated the flower beds in front of her home. Five months go, after losing her husband of 66 years, Rose made the brave decision to move from the town in which she was born and raised to Milton Ontario to be closer to her daughter and family.
Funeral service to be held during the summer in Kapuskasing. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations in memory of Rose to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
