It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Samantha Susan Ann Burgess on June 27, 2019 in Brampton, Ontario. Born in Brampton July 12, 1994 on her great grandmother’s Birthday. Samantha is survived by her parents Gerry Burgess and Cindy Schrader, Brothers; Max and Johnny, Grandmothers Sharon Risso and Rita Schrader, Aunts Cathy (Mike) Langley and Sue Lavigne-Tanner, many cousins and extended family plus her beloved cat Wilson. We grew up next door to eachother and our parents were close friends. It's terrible your life was cut short. You were a remarkable person and it's unfortunate you were struggling all alone. Rip Sam . Gone but never forgotten your light burns the brightest.

So many memories hard to pick just one or one that stood out! Well, here we go. I personally am terrified of sleeping outside and you know this! But, when you lived in Milton you rented a room & I spent the night ALOT and your landlord got tired of it, so what do you do, you start throwing sheets blankets and pillows out your window to make a bed for us outside, I have only ever slept outside one time! & that was with you girl. You could have stayed inside and told me to go home, or camp outside alone but nope you stayed with me. No tent no nothing just blankets on the ground! love you girl ❤️

So many great memories! I think the time went to the Wye Marsh was incredible. The 4 kids (cousins) were bundled up, I think it was March break. Sami might have been 7 or 8? We walked the trails and stood on the path, I gave her some bird seed, which she placed gently into the palm of her hand, stuck her arm out and waited for the birds to come. Do you know how hard it is to keep 4 kids quiet? Well it didn’t take long and the chickadee’s were all around tickling the kids hands as they gently pecked seed from their hands. They were in awe. We spent a long time checking out the trails, but the kids couldn’t stop talking about feeding the birds.
