Obituary

Vic passed away peacefully at Milton District Hospital from complications of a stroke suffered a year ago. Loving husband to Heather. Sadly missed by sons Michael (Heather) and Scott (Corina, sons Blayne and Owen). Proud Papa of Brooklyn and Ashley. Brother to Chuck (Joyce) and the late Jim Auger. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Marguerite Auger. Vic will be remembered as a true gentleman with a kind heart. Vic’s interests throughout the years included scouting, hockey, interchurch softball, fishing and golf. Vic was the second generation owner of Cation Excavating. No matter what the interest was, it was the people and comradery that mattered most. However Vic touched you, we’re sure there is a memory that will bring a smile. Thank you for all the kind words of support, they are greatly appreciated. Special thanks to all the medical staff and health care professionals who helped with Vic’s care and rehab over the last year.

Due to the times we are in, a private service and interment will be held and a celebration may be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation can be made on Vic’s behalf. Please stay safe.

Dear Heather and Family: so sorry to hear of Vic's passing. I have fond memories of the days of interchurch baseball when our husbands and children played against each other! Great fellowship! Sincere sympathy from Connie Nielsen, Julie,Tim and Kevin

As our beloved neighbour for the last 23 years, Vic was always there for us. Always kind, patient, wise and ready to give us a helping hand with our old house, questions about local services, and what was going on in the Milton countryside. We relied on Vic as the knowledgeable fellow for Old Milton. We are so glad we knew his gracious generosity, and we are heartbroken that he is gone. He was a man of that special generation, they are few & far between. Keep him close in the photos, the stories and the memories.xo Luv to you all, Andrea & Tom & the boys. xo
