Obituary

Surrounded by family, prayer and music, Winston passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 22, 2019 at the age of 76. Dearly beloved husband of Mary Cragg R.N. (nee Tresa) for 45 years, and loving father to Theresa (Marc) and Michael (Christine). Adored by 5 grandchildren, Ethan, Gideon, Elliot, Judah and Ezekiel (all his little men). Son of James and Selina Cragg (both deceased), and was the youngest of 10 children (8 deceased and survived by 1).

His light shines on through many friends and family, especially all of those who came across his path in Milton and within his 40 years working at Loblaws. Everyone quickly came to love his smile, sense of humour, quick wit, and positive/happy demenour. He had the biggest heart of anyone we knew, always wearing his emotions on his sleeve. He also had a special place in his heart for all of our family pets. Special thanks to all the support from the staff at Credit Valley Hospital, Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, as well as the loving staff at the Chartwell Waterford Long Term Care Residence in Oakville.

Friends and family will be received at McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main Street E. Milton 905-878-4452 on Sunday, May 26th 2019 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Monday, May 27th 2019 from 7-9pm. The Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 28th 2019 at 1pm at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 139 Martin Street, Milton, immediately followed by a reception in the church hall. A private cremation service to follow at a later date. Donations can be made to Credit Valley Hospital or Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.

May you rest in peace. We all love you, and you will forever be in our hearts and in our lives.

Mary and family,

My sincerest sympathy for you and your family at this difficult time. Winston had a great sense of humour and he will be missed by all. He also had a "twinkle" in his eye, and quite the quick wit. He kept us Nurses on our toes at times, and chuckling at his "complaints". My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was so sorry to hear about Winston. I have known Winston and his family my entire life and Neil worked with Winston at Loblaws for many years. Winston was always a very kind person. I'm sure Ron, Winston and Neil are sharing good times. Thinking about you at this difficult time.
