Thank you for your interest in the McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home. It is with pride that we present to the community and families we serve, information which encompasses all that we stand for and believe in. During our 62 years, we have sponsored local little league teams, given away keepsake items, gifts to needy children, participated in community functions and supported our local hospital and church organizations. It has been an honour to serve this community. In 1953, Lachlan McKersie began a tradition of service excellence by opening the McKersie Funeral Home. He and his wife Gladys owned and managed the firm until 1977 when Doug and Judy Kocher became the new owners. Doug and Judy moved to Milton with their three children and continued the family owned tradition that Mr. McKersie began. Our family name became incorporated with McKersie after Andrew and his wife Caroline joined the firm. Over our many years, we are pleased to say that dignity and respect still remain our major focus in the standard of service we provide to our families. Our family and staff have a commitment to our community and have a genuine compassion and understanding toward our families. We are proud to say that no individual or family in need has ever been denied service by McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home due to financial circumstances.
