| Douglas Kocher, Funeral Director Doug along with his wife Judy Kocher purchased the funeral home in 1977 from Lachie McKersie. They have enjoyed the past 38 years in Milton. Doug received his Funeral Directors License in 1971 and spent the first 6 years at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home in Kitchener before moving to Milton. Doug joined the Milton Rotary Club in 1978 and has been the club president and has been honoured as a Paul Harris Fellow. Doug serves on the board of directors for Milton Evergreen Cemetery and is a member of St. Paul's United Church and member of the St. Clair Masonic Lodge Branch #135. |
| Judith Kocher Judy plays an active roll in the funeral home as one of those people you see doing everything such as assisting on funerals and visitation and preparing for the funeral luncheons. Judy is a member of Faith United, Past District Deputy Grand Matron of The Order Of The Eastern Star District 6, Past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Milton District Hospital, Former director of Halton Women's Place and a part time babysitter for her 7 grandchildren, which she adores so much. |
| Andrew Kocher, Funeral Director Andrew grew up in Milton attending J.M. Denyes Public School, W.I. Dick Middle School and Milton District High School. Andrew received his Funeral Directors License in 1991. After working in Toronto at Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home for 2 years he returned to Milton to work with his parents Doug and Judy Kocher. Andrew and Caroline were married in 1993 and enjoy their 2 children, Colin who was born in 2005 and Mason who was born in 2006. Andrew has been very active in the Milton Community and has served as the Vice Chair of the Trustees at St. Paul's United Church, sered on the Board of Directors of Prosperity One Credit Union, a member of the Milton Kinsmen Club, member of the Central Ontario Funeral Directors Association, member of the Milton Chamber of Commerce and enjoys coaching baseball and playing hockey. |
| Caroline Kocher, Funeral Director Caroline grew up in Toronto and met Andrew at Humber College while attending the Funeral Service Program. Caroline did her training at Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home in Toronto, received her Funeral Directors License in 1991 and then worked at Turner and Porter Funeral Homes. You can often see Caroline at the funeral home working in the gardens or during visitation and on funerals. Caroline is active in the Milton Ladies Slopitch League and the Milton Ladies Hockey League. Caroline's number one enjoyment is her 2 sons Colin who was born in 2005 and Mason who was born in 2006. |
| Kristina Tesser, Funeral Director Kristina grew up in Milton and received her Funeral Directors License in 2001. After working at J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home in Georgetown for 2 years Kristina joined us here on a part time basis assisting us with funerals and visitation. Kristina is married to Chris Derksen who owns Crave Computer Systems here in Milton. They enjoy their 4 children. Kristina is a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. |
| Jozien Allan Jozien moved to Milton from England with her family in 1980. She attended Holy Rosary Catholic School and then graduated from Milton District High School. She married Bill Allan in 1993 and has 3 children. Jozien and her family have attended Holy Rosary Parish since they moved to Milton in 1980. Jozien has been with McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home since 2007 as a funeral directors assistant and has a soft, compassionate and caring nature about her which has allowed her to bond with families in their time of need. |
